It is Time for Fair Maps

Madison – Today State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement regarding the Supreme Court announcing they will hear a challenge to Wisconsin’s legislative districts.

“Our democracy deserves better than the highly-partisan maps that the Majority Republicans drew in 2011. For too long, this abuse of their power and cynical gaming of our system has gone unchecked. Representatives of the people should not be choosing whom they represent for partisan gain and consolidation of power. I believe it is high time for Wisconsin Republicans to do the right thing and allow for non-partisan redistricting in Wisconsin.”
