Broadband Expansion Grants

On September 30, 2015, the Commission received 28 applications for FY 2016 Broadband Expansion Grants. The applications that the Commission received are listed in Attachment 1.
With this year’s broadband grant cycle, the Commission decided to provide a period of time for interested persons to file comments either in support of or in opposition to the submitted grant applications. In the application instructions for this grant cycle, the Commission announced that the public comment period would run from October 1, 2015, to October 21, 2015. Comments filed during this period will be included in the correspondence available to the Commission when it meets to decide which applications should be awarded grants. All comments that are timely filed will be available to the screening panel as well when it meets to evaluate the applications. Any correspondence that was submitted with or at the same time that an application was filed will be available to the screening panel and the Commission as well, and does not need to be resubmitted.
