Watch Out for Phone Scams
According to the Lincoln County
Sheriff's Office there are a few phone
scams currently going on. They include
stranded travelers, fictitious lottery
winners, puppy sales, and the most
prevalent is the IRS threatening legal
action over back taxes. Remember that
the IRS will always send a letter and
not just contact you over the phone. The
scams are more than just phone calls
however, as scammers are using social
media to request "help."
Ministry Home Care Memory Bears
Ministry Home Care in the area is starting a new project of Memory Bears for Hospice. These bears are hand crafted from the personal clothing and/or possessions of a hospice patient, provided by loved ones. The bears reflect the favorites of the individuals and can be a cherished keepsake for loved ones for years into the future.
