Take Your Legislator to Work Day This week I joined Patti at Bridge's Inn in Tomahawk to participate in the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities annual event, Take your Legislator to Work Day. Patti helps in the kitchen and dining room at Bridge's and we had a great time working together.

Click here to read more. Free Ice Fishing Weekend, January 17-18 This weekend the DNR is offering the third annual Free Ice Fishing Weekend. On January 17 and 18 people can ice fish without a license or Great Lakes trout stamp. In addition, fishing clinics are being held at a number of state park properties. The events are free but a park admission sticker may be required. Ice fishing gear is available at 19 loaner site, eight of which are at state parks with fishing access. Annual Eagle River Snowmobile Derby This weekend begins one of northern Wisconsin's greatest traditions, the Eagle River snowmobile derby. This will be the derby's 52nd year. Governor Walker will attend and help celebrate the occasion at 1:30pm tomorrow, Saturday, January 17th. Have a good weekend and stay warm!
