Mark your
calendars:
Next week Wednesday, February 12th
I will host a meeting with DNR Secretary Cathy Stepp in Antigo.
The event will first include a brief update
from Secretary Stepp on current efforts of the DNR. The main portion of the
meeting will then be open for questions and comments from the audience, on
any topic related to DNR activities and Wisconsin’s natural resources.
Please join us if you are able:
Wednesday, February 12th
8:00 – 10:00 am
Antigo VFW
1216 Elm
Street
Antigo, WI
Accompanying Secretary Stepp will be
Mr. John Gozdzialski,
the head of the DNR Northern Region.
This meeting is the second DNR roundtable I have held in the 35th
Assembly District. The 2013 meeting was held in Tomahawk.
I realize this meeting is
during normal business hours, and that many work schedules may conflict.
If you are unable to attend, as always please
send me your comments.
Additional Propane Shortage Resources Available
The propane crisis continues to affect all of Wisconsin and the greater
Midwest. On January 29, 2014 Governor Walker wrote a letter to
President Barack Obama asking for the immediate release of the remaining
2014 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) allocations.
On January 30, 2014 the request was granted.
The
State of Wisconsin received the remaining $14.2 million dollars of the total
$103.1 million FFY2014 allocation.
Individuals interested in donating to the
Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund (KWWF) to help those impacted by the crisis can
