Dear Friends and Neighbors -
As the Wisconsin Legislature begins its fall session, Senate
Democrats want to make sure that efforts to strengthen the
middle class are a top priority. After listening to local
residents, Senate Democrats unveiled their Badger
Blueprint agenda today that includes a wide range of new
ideas and proven solutions to generate economic opportunities in
Wisconsin.
The Badger Blueprint is a reflection of our shared
Wisconsin values and it provides a clear vision to help
strengthen our state. By focusing on policies that encourage
growth, drive innovation and increase economic opportunities, we
can move Wisconsin forward in a positive direction.
The Badger Blueprint features several new and
innovative pro-growth solutions designed to expand access to
quality education, invest in infrastructure and improve
workplace flexibility. It encompasses numerous proposals to help
working families such as student loan debt relief, more
affordable childcare, and expanded access to affordable health
care. The plan also aims to improve local economic development
efforts by investing in transportation and broadband
infrastructure, closing the skills gap and ending taxpayer
subsidies to companies that outsource jobs.
Wisconsin families want leaders to work together and focus on
improving the economy, strengthening the middle class and
boosting family wages. I’m optimistic about the opportunities we
have to shape our future if we can work together and find common
ground. The Badger Blueprint is just the start of
a discussion Senate Democrats want to have on the issues that
are important to Wisconsin’s students, working families and
seniors. I encourage residents to learn more about our vision at
www.wibadgerblueprint.com and share their ideas on ways
we can work together and move Wisconsin forward.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Jennifer K. Shilling
