Dear Friends and Neighbors -
As you may have already heard, the U.S.
Supreme Court recently reinstated an injunction against
Wisconsin’s voter photo identification law. This decision
means that Wisconsin voters will NOT be required to show photo
identification in order to cast a ballot in November.
Election observers have noted that Wisconsin’s voter
identification requirement would have been one of the most
restrictive voting laws in the nation. According to estimates,
approximately 300,000 Wisconsin residents would have been
disenfranchised if this law had gone into effect — particularly
minorities, seniors, students and people with disabilities.
With the photo identification requirement on hold,
eligible Wisconsin voters will once again be free to exercise
their fundamental right to vote in the November 4th election.
If you have questions about your voter registration status,
polling location or any other election issues, you can visit

Additionally, in-person absentee voting (also known as Early
Voting) begins on Monday, October 20th for Wisconsin residents.
Early voting is a great option for residents who like to avoid
long lines or can’t make it to the polls on Election Day.
Eligible voters can vote early at their local municipal clerk’s
office on weekdays between October 20th and October 31st. Please
check with your municipal clerk for office hours. You can
look-up your municipal clerk’s office through
