Listening Sessions
Sen. Terry Moulton and I will be holding a
listening session at the Ridgeland Village Hall on Monday,
December 2, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Constituents are welcome to drop in and share any comments or questions they
may have.
I would also like to remind you that
Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary John Scocos and my
colleague Rep. Warren Petryk, chairman of the Assembly Committee on
Veterans, will be holding a
listening session for veterans on Thursday, December 5,
at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls,
from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The veterans home is located at 2175 East Park Avenue.
Special Session
As I have mentioned in previous E-Updates,
the Assembly will meet in special session next Wednesday, December 4, to
consider Governor Walker's proposal to delay BadgerCare eligibility changes
and extend Health Insurance Risk-Sharing Plan (HIRSP) coverage through March
31, 2014. The Legislature's Joint Committee on Finance will
formally introduce
this proposal and hold a
public hearing on Monday, December 2.
The
nonpartisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau has prepared a
detailed memorandum about the proposal, with the bill itself as an
appendix.

Office Closings
In observance of Thanksgiving, my office will be closed on Thursday,
November 28, and Friday, November 29. Please still feel free to leave a
voicemail or write in and we will get it when we return to the office
