Representative Larson Takes an Oath to Serve the 67th Assembly District

On January 3rd, I was inaugurated in as the new State Representative for the 67th Assembly District. I have been assigned to serve as the vice chair of the Committee on Judiciary and Ethics, as well as serve as a member on both the Committee on Rural Economic Development and Rural Affairs and the Committee on Energy and Utilities. I feel these committee appointments will give me the opportunity to use my expertise as a small businessman and electrical contractor in rural Wisconsin to help move Wisconsin forward.

Legislature Hits the Ground Running with Special Session

Without taking a breather, Assembly and Senate Republicans hit the ground running with a special legislative session to focus on Wisconsin’s economy and get Wisconsin back to work.

Honoring my wife on the Assembly floor on our 44th wedding anniversary

The Governor and Legislature approved bills reforming the state’s commerce department into a public-private entity concentrating on job creation to avoid being bogged down by regulation. The bills in this session likewise provided tax credits for small business, reformed tort actions in our state, and provided incentives for businesses to bring jobs to Wisconsin. For individuals, the Special Session created legislation to make HSA’s more affordable, and to protect taxpayers by requiring a two-thirds majority to increase state sales, income, or franchise taxes.
