Budget Alert!

Members of the Wisconsin Counties Association, the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families, and the Institute for Wisconsin’s Future held a rally here at the Capitol yesterday to encourage Governor Doyle and the Legislature to increase taxes in order to save their services in the State Budget.   

Most of the constituents I’ve heard from do not support tax increases, so I found it interesting that anyone would want to raise taxes to fix the $7 billion budget deficit.
