WISCONSIN'S UNEMPLOYMENT RATES LOWEST SINCE FEBRUARY OF 2000
Madison, WI – The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development announced this month that Wisconsin's unemployment rate is at 3.2%. This is the lowest unemployment level since February of 2000 with more Wisconsin residents working than ever before in our state's history.
Additionally, Chief Executive Magazine ranked Wisconsin as one of the "Best States for Businesses." This marks the first time Wisconsin has earned a top ten ranking from this organization. This is great news for Wisconsin! I am committed to working with my legislative colleagues to continue advancing Wisconsin's economy by supporting programs that will ensure current and future generations of Wisconsin workers are well qualified and highly skilled to meet the demands of the state's growing job market.

On this Memorial Day weekend, take time to honor and remember the sacrifices of the brave men and women that have dedicated their lives to protecting our American way of life around the world.
