UNEMPLOYMENT RATES DROP AGAIN
As we've seen over the last four
years, our unemployment rates continue to decline,
dropping to 4.6% in March. This is the lowest our
unemployment has been since June of 2008, before the
economic recession! We are also doing better than
the national average, which is currently at 5.5%.
This is great news for Wisconsin, and evidence that
our policies are helping our state's economy
improve.

IMPLEMENTS OF HUSBANDRY
This was a
great week for Wisconsin Agriculture as Governor Walker
signed AB 113, the Implements of Husbandry Trailer Bill,
on Wednesday morning.
This bill made non-controversial but necessary changes
to 2013 Act 377 to address unforeseen issues in
implementation.
While both 2013 Act 377 and AB 113 have been successful
in addressing issues relating to increasingly large and
heavy farm equipment operating on the roadways legally,
there is still a large learning curve for everyone
involved in this first year of implementation. If you
have any questions at all regarding permits you have
submitted, denials or approvals you have received, or
anything else regarding your implements, please do not
hesitate to give my office a call or send us an email,
and we would be more than happy to work with you.
With Spring in full swing, we are entering the busy time
of planting season for most farmers. Please make sure to
watch for farm equipment on the roads as you're driving,
and be safe!
