GOVERNOR'S BUDGET ADDRESS
This year in the legislative session is a "budget
year." During this time, Governor Walker proposes
his state budget in the early months of the year and
the Legislature then combs
through it, revises it, brings it to the people, and
hopefully passes it usually sometime in May or June.
Next week on Tuesday, February 3rd, the Governor
will give his Budget Address to the Senate and the
Assembly at 7:00pm. This will be the first time a
majority of this year's budget will be unveiled and
discussed.
I encourage everyone to watch this address and contact me with any thoughts,
concerns, or ideas you may have on the proposals. We
will have a big job to do over the next few months,
and the process is made much easier when our
constituents get involved. Please know my door is
always open to meet or talk with you on any subject
you find important.
CONTACT ME
As in the
past, I would continue to encourage you to contact my
office with ideas for this next legislative session and
on individual pieces of legislation. Now more than ever
your ideas and opinions need to be heard, so we can
begin to get Wisconsin back to work. Please contact my
office at 608-266-3404 or email me at
Rep.Ripp@legis.wisconsin.gov, or stop by my Capitol
office at 223 North. I look forward to hearing
from you. As always, I will continue to work across the
aisle to find common ground and move legislation
forward.
Please share
this update with your friends and neighbors within the
42nd Assembly District and if there is anyone you know
who would like to be included, please respond to this
email with their email address.
