HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
My family and I would like to wish you a very Merry
Christmas and Happy New Year!
There's really no place like Wisconsin to celebrate with
family and friends during this holiday season; whether
it's building snowmen and snow forts, decorating our
Wisconsin Christmas trees, hunting in our Wisconsin
forests, or just cuddling up with loved ones to watch
the Packers and Badgers brave through the cold!
I am so thankful for the year my family
and I have had, but I am especially grateful that I get
to serve as your representative in the State Assembly.
Here's to the last few days of a great 2013, and an even
better year in 2014!
KEITH'S LEGISLATIVE WEBSITE
I am pleased to announce that my legislative website is up
and running! It's a great way to stay informed and
up-to-date on what is going on at the Capitol. It's also
a great resource for constituent services, tracking
legislation, and contacting me.
We will be adding more information to the site as we
continue through this session, but if there is something
you would like to see on the website, please contact me.
Here is the website:

CAPITOL CHRISTMAS TREE
If you haven't yet made it down to Madison to look at
the Capitol Christmas Tree, you still have a few more days!
My hometown of Lodi was able to play
a special role in this year's Christmas Tree;
members of the Lodi Quilters Guild personally stitched
the tree skirt! The skirt has 72 stars for all of the
Wisconsin counties. If you stop by, look for the
Wisconsin Badger "W" (included in the picture below)!
Also be sure to look for the Pardeeville Watermelons
hanging on the tree itself!

KEITH RIPP HAS FOUR BILLS SIGNED INTO LAW
Governor Walker signs four Ripp Initiatives
Madison, WI-
Governor Scott Walker signed four bills authored by
Rep. Keith Ripp (R-Lodi) Friday, December 13th aimed
at amending requirements for concussion information
sheets and updating three transportation-related
policies.
The first bill, SB 258, offers a fix to 2011
Wisconsin Act 179 that created standards and
guidelines for participants of any youth athletic
activity to submit a concussion and head injury
information sheet. Under current law, students and
their parents are required to fill out and sign the
sheet for each sport they participate in during the
year. This bill requires that only one information
sheet be filled out per student per year.
“We have heard from coaches and athletic directors
around the state who say that the requirement under
current law is redundant and unnecessary,” Ripp
said. “This bill ensures that students and parents
get the necessary information they need on the
reality of concussions and head injuries, but it
also relieves some of the burden on the schools and
families for doing so.”
The other three bills, AB 280, 281, and SB 240, surround
necessary modifications to current transportation
statutes that will bring Wisconsin in line with
federal standards on warning lights for police cars
and school buses, and knowledge test requirements
for commercial driver license (CDL) applicants who hold a military CDL.
“I am
honored and proud to have this legislation signed
into law today,” said Ripp. “It’s always my goal to
work on legislation that can make life easier or can
remove burdensome regulations for Wisconsinites, and
I believe these bills accomplish that goal.”
