Wisconsin Workforce Partnership Grant
MADISON - State Representative Joan
Ballweg (R- Markesan) congratulates Moraine Park Technical College
in Fond Du Lac for receiving over $700,000 in grant money. The money
will be used to provide specific training necessary to create new
jobs at businesses including Brenner Tank, John Crane Orion,
Amerequip Corporation and Mid-States Aluminum Corporation
This grant money will establish training for
both machine operation and welding training in a 15-week format. The
training will result in either an Entry Level Welding Certificate or
a Computer Numerical Control Machine Operator Certificate.
“With this partnership, the companies expect to
fill over 100 new positions with skilled workers,” states Ballweg,
“Thank you to the Wisconsin Covenant Foundation Inc., the Wisconsin
Technical College System and Governor Walker for working together to
create the Wisconsin Workforce Partnership Grant program.”
