35th District Budget
Listening Sessions
Although
the weather doesn't quite feel like spring, we are already halfway through
April! The state budget process is continuing, and this week I will
be holding three listening sessions around our district,
to hear your feedback, ideas and concerns on the proposed 2013-2015 State
Budget. Please attend if you are able, and help spread the word to your
neighbors and friends. We will meet in Antigo, Merrill and Tomahawk, at the
dates and times below:
Friday, April 19th
11:30am – 1:00pm
Antigo City Hall – Council Chambers
700 Edison St
Antigo, WI
Friday, April 19th
2:00 – 3:30pm
T.B. Scott Free Public Library – Community Room
106 W 1st St
Merrill, WI
Saturday, April 20th
10:00 – 11:30am
Tomahawk Public Library – Community Room
300 W Lincoln Ave
Tomahawk, WI
If you are unable to attend the listening
session, I encourage you to send me
your thoughts, and to
submit your comments to the Joint Finance Committee. I am also including
a few helpful links to state budget information:
State of Wisconsin Department of Administration - Governor’s Budget Page
Non-Partisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau’s Recent Publications Page
The Wisconsin
Legislature’s electronic bill notification service
also allows you to track the progress of the
budget bill - Assembly Bill (AB) 40 - in the Legislature.
I hope to see many of you this Friday and
Saturday at our listening sessions, and my door is always open. It is an
honor to serve as your representative in Madison.
