Small Business and Education PrioritiesAs I stated in 2012 when running for this office, my top priorities this session are small business initiatives and education reform. It has been almost three months since I have been sworn into office and I have been busy around the district meeting with local small businesses and small business association’s to make Wisconsin more pro-business. I have had the pleasure to meet with members of the Waukesha County Business Alliance and listen to their ideas and perspectives. I have also met with people from the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce to talk through ideas on how we are able to help ease regulations on small business in Wisconsin so they are able to grow and expand.
Over the next 3 weeks I have I have meetings scheduled with
school Superintendents in the district. We will be
discussing funding and education priorities to make sure
that our students receive the best education possible. On March 19th, I was able to
meet with multiple Superintendents from Southeast Wisconsin
to better learn what challenges these school districts face
and how we can assist schools to prepare students with the
needed skill set for a successful future in the modern day
workforce. Joint Committee on Finance Statewide Public Hearings
The 2013-15 budget process has taken its next big step
forward with the start of the statewide public hearings. The
first public hearing was held on April 4th at Greendale High
School. If you were unable to attend, watch the discussion
that happened on WisconsinEye at

Rob Visiting with Constituents
Our office was pleased to host students from Good Shepherd's Evangelical Lutheran School in the Capitol on March 13th.
It was an honor to meet with an Elm Grove Webelos Troop to help them with their Citizen badge. My Legislative Assistant Phil Pratt, an Eagle Scout, joined me for the outing.
My family had a fun day visiting the Easter Egg Hunt activities in Brookfield & Elm Grove.
