Rep. Nygren Plans to Introduce Legislation Ending UI Backlog, Requiring IT Upgrades While Republicans have offered countless suggestions to address the unemployment backlog, after eight months Gov. Evers still has no plan. In response to the inaction, Rep. Nygren plans to introduce legislation that would require the Governor to eliminate the backlog and upgrade the IT system.

Speaker Robin Vos on Governor's Statewide Mask Mandate I understand the necessity of doing all that we can to control the spread of COVID-19. We know it’s serious, but it’s disappointing that yet again Gov. Evers has chosen to not communicate or work with the legislature. There are certainly constitutional questions that citizen groups may challenge.

Rep. Warren Petryk: A Look Back at the State Budget This time last year the governor signed the legislature’s state budget, which set into place the spending plan for Wisconsin over the next two years. The budget is a win for Wisconsin by keeping spending within our means and allowing taxpayers to keep more of their own hard-earned money.
