LAB Audit Highlights Major Issues in November Election Administration The audit of the November 2020 election conducted by the Legislative Audit Bureau confirms that the Wisconsin Elections Commission, as well as some local election officials, failed to follow election laws. There is more work to be done as voters deserve to know our elections are fair and secure.

Legislative Leaders Introduce New District Maps Every ten years, the U.S. Census Bureau publishes updated information reflecting changes in the population since the previous census. This information is used by states to redraw local, legislative, and congressional districts so that each district has approximately the same number of people.

Assembly GOP Statement on Election Investigation We believe a cyber-forensic audit is necessary to ensure issues did not happen in 2020. We have allocated additional resources to Justice Gableman to ensure this investigation gets to the truth.

Election Reform Legislation Vetoed by Governor The governor is making another momentous mistake with his veto pen. While he claims these bills are ‘anti-democracy,’ his actions speak louder than words. He is satisfied with the status quo and refusing to improve future elections.

Committee Vote Requires UW System to Follow State Law JCRAR voted to require the UW System to promulgate rules for COVID policies on campus. The administrative rule-making process exists for a reason. Rules have the same impact as law and the process exists to promote fairness, transparency and accountability.
