Madison Public Hearing

The taskforce toured Madison East High School cafeteria and food service program in collaboration with School Nutrition Association of Wisconsin in Madison.

Following the tour, the taskforce held a public hearing at the state capitol where the American Heart Association discussed healthy living, the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association discussed park and recreation best practices, policies and programs that support healthy activities, nutrition and combat childhood obesity, and Doctor Sachin Jogal with SSM Health discussed various topics relating to obesity management, including implementing components of a healthy lifestyle, toxic stress, provider collaboration, and comprehensive community strategies.
