SESSION CALENDAR

Session Calendars

Early each biennium the Legislature establishes a calendar that lays out the floorperiod for the Session. Each house can then schedule their own meeting days within that floorperiod. Once a house decides to meet and bills are scheduled a daily session calendar is prepared.

The Assembly rules structure how the body takes up, proceeds, and discusses matters before the body. In the Assembly there is a display board that shows what action and bill is under consideration. It includes the bill number and a brief descriptive text. Notes from each session are prepared and published to the Legislative website in the Assembly journal.
