Feedback: Survey regarding Presidential Electors...

Take our Survey!

Currently, 48 states including Wisconsin designate presidential electors with the "winner take all" method.  Whichever candidate wins the most votes in that state is awarded all the electors designated to that state.

With eight representatives and two senators, Wisconsin is designated to have 10 electors.

Under a bill currently circulating for co-sponsorship, this would change.  Utilizing the Congressional District method, each slate of candidates for president and vice president that wins a congressional district receives one presidential elector and the slate of candidates that win the state “at large” receives two additional presidential electors.  Maine and Nebraska utilize this method.
