Scott was elected in 2014 and has been re-elected every two years since as a Representative to the Wisconsin State Assembly, 97th District, and serves the City of Waukesha, the Villages of Dousman, North Prairie, and Waukesha, and the Towns of Genesee, Mukwonago, Ottawa, and Summit.

Scott was born in Racine, Wisconsin in 1965. During his elementary school years Scott lived in Northern Wisconsin, in Tomahawk, and finished his secondary education in Southeastern Wisconsin graduating in 1984 from Kettle Moraine High School.

Right out of high school Scott served in the US Army Reserve working mostly in Wisconsin’s 84th Division and completed his six-year term with the 349th General Hospital. During his term Scott was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and in 1989 Scott was honored with the Wisconsin Reserve Military Achievement Award.

Having attended UW-Oshkosh and UW-Waukesha, Scott completed his bachelor’s degree in political science at UW-Milwaukee. He then enrolled in a dual degree program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where he earned the Master of Public Administration and Master of Urban Planning.

After working for a short period as a risk management analyst for the Los Angeles Metro system, Scott relocated back to Wisconsin in 1993. In 1993 Scott began a career in real estate helping people buy and sell their homes. Over the course of his real estate career Scott has developed land, built condominium and single family homes, invested in real estate, owned a small real estate company and managed sales offices. Most recently Scott led an 80-agent suburban Milwaukee office for a large real estate company. Scott is still an active, licensed Realtor and sales coach.

Service is an important value for Scott. He has served the real estate industry on various boards and committees and he has served his church and his community in a variety of roles. Scott has been an active member of the Waukesha County Republican Party for many years and for a period of time served on its Executive Committee.

Scott lives in Waukesha with his wife, Angila. They have two adult daughters.
