Thank you for taking the time to read my final e-update of 2018. Christmas is just around the corner and it is hard to believe that it is almost 2019. I look forward to continuing to serve as your state representative in the coming legislative session.
I would like to let you know that my legislative office in Madison will be closed next week as my staff spends time with their families for Christmas. We will be back after the New Year ready to serve the people of the 87th Assembly District.

Congratulations to Cadet Zander Boggs
On Saturday I was privileged to attend the graduation ceremony for the Wisconsin Challenge Academy in Mauston. I am proud to support the Challenge Academy and their outstanding program. Congratulations to all the graduates, especially Cadet Zander Boggs of Glen Flora who I am honored to mentor as part of this program. I also have the privilege of mentoring Zander's brother Austin who graduated from the program last year.

Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Board Meeting
I started off a busy day on Monday by attending the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College board meeting in Rice Lake. I appreciate the opportunity to speak with the board and provide a legislative update.
Aspirus Medford Hospital - Open House My day on Monday continued with the open house for Aspirus Medford Hospital's new rehabilitation wing. It is great to see Aspirus growing to meet the healthcare needs in the Medford area.
Ladysmith Middle & High School Holiday Band Concert
I finished off my busy Monday this week with the Ladysmith Middle & High School Band Holiday Band Concert. The concert was outstanding and I especially enjoyed the rendition of Bugler's Holiday. This song was one of my favorites to play in band back when I was in high school.
Great News!
According to a recent report from Wisconsin Policy Forum, Wisconsin's tax burden has dropped for the 7th straight year and is at the lowest level in nearly 50 years! One of the biggest reasons for this great news is rising incomes among Wisconsinites. In the upcoming session, I will continue to work to find ways to allow this success to continue.

One of the best ways to stay up to date with what is going on in Madison is to sign up for the legislature's notification tracking service. This service allows you to follow legislative activity in Madison. Once you create a free account you can sign up to receive notifications about specific bills or committees as well as legislative activity pertaining to a subject area (i.e. agriculture, veterans). You can sign up for this service at notify.legis.wisconsin.gov.
