A Note from Rep. Edming


The budget process is still underway and I want to encourage you to attend my in-district budget listening sessions this upcoming Monday, March 23rd. I look forward to meeting with constituents and hearing your input regarding the 2015-2017 budget. The details for the listening sessions are as follows:

Earlier this week, the Joint Committee on Finance began its series of public hearings, which will be held around the state. The Committee will be near the 87th Assembly District on Monday, March 23rd. Here is the information for the public hearing:

Rice Lake

If you have any opinions about the proposed budget, I encourage you to attend any of these listening sessions to voice your concerns.


This Week in Madison


This past Tuesday, the Assembly passed a number of bi-partisan supported bills. These bills include:

  • Assembly Bill 27 : the maximum speed limit on freeways and expressways.
  • Assembly Bill 37 : requiring certain persons to hold certificates of food protection practices in order to operate certain school lunchrooms participating in the National School Lunch Program.
  • Assembly Bill 80 : review by state agencies of administrative rules and enactments and an expedited process for repealing rules an agency no longer has the authority to promulgate.
  • Assembly Bill 81 : modifying and repealing rules promulgate by the Department of Financial Institutions and the Department of Revenue relating to documents filed with county registers of deeds.
  • Assembly Bill 82 : instruments filed or recorded with, and fees charged by, the register of deeds.

I presented Eagle Scout Anthony Lichwa, Jr. with a citation from the Legislature!
