A Note from Rep. Edming

Today, the Joint Committee on Finance finishes its executive sessions and passes the final portions of the 2015-2017 budget. The Assembly will vote on the budget next week. It will definitely be a busy time at the Capitol.

It is important to note that my colleagues and I feel there should be a decrease in the amount of borrowing for state road projects and that project delays should be felt equally across Wisconsin. I recently signed a letter advocating for transportation funds for the rural areas of our state. I want to ensure that my district remains a priority for transportation funds and projects.

This Week in Madison

Yesterday, Governor Walker signed my first piece of legislation into law. Senate Bill 139 expands the availability of epinephrine auto-injectors in public places. Allergies are on the rise, so it's important to make sure that these devices are available. This law will certainly help save lives in Wisconsin.

Happy Birthday to the USA

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend celebrating our country's independence. Take some time over the weekend to reflect upon what our nation means to you. I wish you, your family, and friends a safe and fun weekend!
