Before the Storm
Before a winter storm, it is important to prepare as much as you can by:
- Having plenty of water and food (for people, pets, and livestock)
- Get medications refilled
- Charge cell phones
- Fill your car with gas and get gas for generators
- Gather blankets and warm clothes
- Have flashlights, batteries, candles, etc. ready

Storm updates will be posted on the Sawyer County Public Health Facebook page. County-wide emergency messages will also be posted to Nixle, which residents can enroll in for free. https://www.nixle.com/
