Yesterday, the Assembly passed a new COVID-19 relief measure. This bill is an essential step in assisting families, businesses, and communities within the 85th Assembly District that continue to struggle due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Assembly Bill 1 will provide $100 million in funding for COVID-19 response efforts. For those on SeniorCare, vaccination coverage will be provided, the extension of copayment elimination for COVID-19 tests and vaccinations, the extension of the waiver for waiting periods on unemployment claims, and new measures to address the backlog of claims at the Department of Workforce Development. This bill provides critical relief and response to the pandemic.
Allow pharmacy students and dentists to administer COVID-19 vaccines.
Changes to the open enrollment process to allow parents to better choose education options during this difficult time.
Extension of call center hours for the Department of Workforce Development unemployment insurance hotline and a requirement that the Governor provide a plan by the end of the month to address the administration’s unemployment claims backlog.
Allow local and county governments additional abilities to provide relief for issues caused by the pandemic.
Support for hospitals and health providers combating the pandemic.
Inauguration
I am honored to have been chosen by my friends and neighbors in the 85th Assembly District to represent them in Madison during the 105th Legislature of the State Assembly. It is now more important than ever that legislators work to bipartisan solutions to the problems facing our state. I look forward to working with all my colleagues in the Legislature and Governor Evers to continue responding to this challenge.

National Law Enforcement Appreciation
If you have a police officer as a friend or family member, National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on January 9th is the perfect time to show officers that we appreciate the sacrifices and risks they face everyday as part of their difficult jobs.
Office Hours Postponed
My top priority as an elected official is listening to those that I represent, which is why I usually hold "office hours" each month as a time dedicated solely to listening to you. I will continue to temporarily halt my monthly office hours due to COVID-19.
