Budget Listening Session

We had a great discussion during my budget listening session at Northcentral Technical College earlier this week. Representative Amy Loudenbeck, the Assembly Vice-Chair of the Joint Committee on Finance, drove up from southern Wisconsin to hear directly from constituents in the 85th Assembly District about the challenges facing North Central Wisconsin. We discussed broadband expansion, education, transportation, and much more. If you missed my budget listening session, there is still an opportunity to share your thoughts! Feel free to contact my office with your thoughts!

Turkey Hunting Season

Wisconsin's spring turkey hunting season kicks off this week.  The 2021 spring turkey hunt is happening from April 21 – June 1.

The 2021 spring turkey hunt includes six, seven-day periods running Wednesday through the following Tuesday. Each of the DNR’s seven turkey management zones will be open for hunting.

The Fall 2020 – Spring 2021 Combined Hunting Regulations provides hunters with everything they need to know about spring turkey hunting from season dates, general regulations to shooting hours.

Drug Take Back Day

Drug Take Back Day offers a secure, easy, and responsible way to dispose of drugs while also informing the public about the risks of misuse and the effects of improper storage and disposal.

Unused or expired medicine should never be flushed or poured down the drain. Removing potentially dangerous pharmaceutical substances from our state's medicine cabinets helps to prevent them from going into our water supply.

Check out drug take back locations near you.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

All Wisconsinites age 16 and over are eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. However be aware that, some areas of the state may have a higher demand for vaccinations and may have waitlists. Vaccine providers will prioritize anyone previously eligible such as public-facing essential workers and people with medical conditions.

The Marathon County Community Vaccine Clinic at Northcentral Technical College's Center for Business and Industry is still operating from 11 am to 7 pm, Monday through Saturday. To make an appointment, please use the WI COVID-19 registry.
