**SPECIAL ALERT**
Dear friend,
I wanted to send a brief email to make
sure you knew about two important opportunities happening this week:
Office Hours: Please
join me at my district office hours this month. All dates, times,
and locations can be found on the flyer attached to this email and
on my website:
http://legis.wisconsin.gov/assembly/81/considine. I would
love to hear your thoughts and concerns on any state issues as the
Assembly heads into the holiday recess, especially those that may
come before us when we are back in session in January. The school
referendum bill, the "bathroom bill" affecting transgender students,
the Cookie Bill and more are all possibilities.
AB 469 "Bathroom Bill" Public
Hearing THIS THURSDAY: AB 469, the bill that would require
transgender students to use certain bathrooms and changing rooms in
schools, will be up for a public hearing in the Assembly Education
Committee this Thursday, Nov. 5th at 10:00 AM in
room 413 North (GAR) in the State Capitol. I am extremely
concerned about the effects this bill might have. If you feel
strongly about AB 469, I encourage you to share your thoughts with
the committee and myself by doing any of the following:
-
Testify in person at the public
hearing at 10:00 AM this Thursday in room 413 North (GAR). Feel
free to stop by my office in room 412 North next door while you
are here!
-
Send me an email at
Rep.Considine@legis.wisconsin.gov and I would be happy to
share your testimony with my fellow committee members.
-
Contact each committee member
directly. Contact information is
available here.
If passed, this bill would have very
significant, far-reaching consequences for many Wisconsin students. I
would greatly appreciate hearing your input.
Sincerely,
Rep. Dave Considine
81st Assembly District
