Navigating the myriad of state agencies and government contacts can be a daunting task without a good guide. If you are looking for assistance or have general questions about a particular state program, please contact Representative Bare's office.

State of Wisconsin Blue Books and the How a Bill Becomes a Law resource packet are available both through Representative Bare's office and the Assembly Chief Clerk's website. If you are interested in either of these items, please send an e-mail with your name and address or call our office to request one.

An official citation from the state legislature is a wonderful way to recognize an outstanding achievement. The legislature regularly issues citations honoring people who have become Eagle Scouts, received the Girl Scout Gold Award, retired after a long career, proudly served in the Armed Forces, and many other notable accomplishments.

Schedule permitting, Representative Bare makes a point to attend events to which he is invited to present the citation in person. Please contact Representative Bare's office to arrange this process.

If you are looking to travel around our state in search of recreation, natural beauty, fine art, good restaurants, or state history, Representative Bare's office has a number of resources available to make planning your trip easier.

The Assembly Chief Clerk's office has both American and Wisconsin flags available for purchase. You may also choose to have the flag flown over the state capitol on behalf of someone and/or a special occasion. Flags flown over the capitol include a certificate of recognition.

There are free tours available in the state capitol year-round, seven days a week.

From Monday through Saturday, the tours depart from the Information Desk on the ground floor of the capitol rotunda at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00 am, and 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 pm.

Sunday tours are available at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 pm.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, an additional 4:00 pm tour is offered every day.

During the summer the sixth-floor museum and observation deck are open to the public, offering incredible views of the city of Madison and the isthmus.

Many of the legislative staffers in the Assembly began their careers in the state capitol as interns. Their experiences equipped them with the knowledge of state government and the tools they needed to succeed professionally. If you are a college student, an internship with the Wisconsin State Assembly can be a very rewarding experience.
