Wisconsin Writers

I know we have some very accomplished writers in our district. I have read about them in the local newspapers. What about the writers I don’t hear about? The Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters has a fiction and poetry contest. Earn cash awards, publication in Wisconsin People & Ideas magazine, and a reading at the Wisconsin Book Festival. Submit your best work no later than December 1, 2017!

The co-sponsorship period for the Harvest for Hope bill has ended. We are pleased with the support we have received and look forward to a public hearing.

What's New

Governor Walker issued Executive Order #257, ordering that flags be flown at half-staff on Saturday, October 14, for Wisconsin Firefighters Memorial Day in respect for the firefighters of this state who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Flags should be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
