Serving the 71st and Central Wisconsin

About

I believe that politics can be a vehicle for improving people’s lives. In a time of increasing skepticism about the role of government in society, my goal is to inspire optimism, create change, and deliver results to the people of Central Wisconsin.

I am dedicated to building a stronger, more sustainable, and more prosperous Wisconsin. With experience in public service, small business, and environmental justice, I am focused on policies that support working families, strengthen local economies, and protect Wisconsin’s natural resources and wild spaces.

As a longtime member of the Portage County Board, I have worked to expand renewable energy, improve waste management, and invest in community development. Now, as your state representative, I am bringing that same dedication to Madison—working to advance policies that create good jobs, promote economic opportunity, and ensure access to quality healthcare and public education.

I am committed to expanding clean energy initiatives to lower costs and create good-paying jobs, supporting small businesses and local agriculture to strengthen Wisconsin’s economy, and investing in infrastructure, including broadband access, sustainable transportation, and affordable housing. I will continue fighting for affordable healthcare and long-term care solutions, protecting Wisconsin’s natural resources, and promoting responsible land use. I believe in strengthening democracy, ensuring voting access,  and ensuring fair representation for all.

With a background in business, building science and energy efficiency, renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, and local government, I understand the challenges facing working families and rural communities. My leadership on the Portage County Executive Operations, Healthcare Center, Agriculture, and Planning & Zoning committees, and the Solid Waste Management Board, has prepared me to tackle Wisconsin’s most pressing issues with a focus on long-term solutions.

My wife, Gina, and I live in Stevens Point with our two children. When I’m not serving the people of Central Wisconsin, I enjoy traveling, backpacking, hunting and fishing, gardening, making music, building and woodworking, and cooking with homegrown veggies and fruits.
