MADISON (WKOW) — November’s general election is one year away and parties have been campaigning for years at the national and state levels.

Wisconsin Democrats are determined to turn the state blue again, meanwhile, Republicans continue to attack the impeachment inquiry against President Trump.

Philip Shulman from Wisconsin’s Democratic Party and Mark Jefferson, executive director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin both weigh in why they believe the impeachment proceedings with help their candidates at the polls.

Jefferson also defends the on-going trade war with China but Shulman argues farmers are fed up.

Wisconsin could soon join California in allowing college athletes to make money through certain endorsement deals. Representative Katrina Shankland (D-Stevens Point) discusses why female athletes would specifically benefit from this.

Shankland lays out details in the proposal she said they’ve been working on for months.
