Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections

On Wednesday, the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections held an informational hearing.  Several speakers were invited to present their findings on the administration of the 2020 election.  If you would like to view the speakers list, click here.

Pearl Harbor Day

Tuesday, December 7th, marked the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by Imperial Japanese forces.  This attack on American naval and air forces sparked the official involvement of the United States in the Second World War.  Please join me in honoring those who gave their lives protecting our freedom.

Pro-Life Legislation Vetoed

Last Friday, I was disappointed to learn that Governor Evers vetoed five pro-life bills passed by the Legislature, which I supported.  These bills provided protection to the most vulnerable among us.  I will continue to work with my colleagues to ensure that the unborn are protected.  Listed below are links to the vetoed bills.

  • SB 16 - Relating to: requirements for children born alive following abortion or attempted abortion and providing a penalty.
  • SB 503 - Relating to: certification of abortion providers under the Medical Assistance program.
  • SB 591 - Relating to: informed consent regarding a certain abortion-inducing drug regimen and reporting requirements for induced abortions.
  • SB 592 - Relating to: congenital condition educational resources.
  • SB 593 - Relating to: sex-selective, disability-selective, and other selective abortions and providing a penalty.
Honoring Albert Kroll as Veteran of the Year

On Tuesday evening, I presented a citation to Albert Kroll on behalf of the State Legislature.  Mr. Kroll was selected as Marshfield's Veteran of the Year and his service was recognized at a celebration on Veterans Day.  His service includes 5 years in the United States Air Force and over 22 years in the United States Army.  In his civilian life, Mr. Kroll served at Marshfield Clinic as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for over 30 years.

Clark County Survey
Attention residents of Clark County, the Clark County Forestry & Parks Department is asking for public input on the future of the parks they maintain.  The Department wants you to "help the county understand how residents use the recreational facilities, along with potential opportunities for future parks and improvements."  The survey will be open until 12/20.  If you are a resident of Clark County and would like to participate in this survey, please click here.
