Assembly Floor Session

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Assembly was in Floor Session to take up several bills.  I had the privilege of giving the opening prayer on Wednesday.  Listed below are links to the record of what happened on the Assembly Floor along with the voting record of myself and all my colleagues.  Click on the day you wish to view and you will be able to find the bill text, how the bill progressed through the legislative process, and the voting record of each representative if a roll call vote was taken.  If you would like to watch Assembly Floor Sessions, you can find a live stream at WisconsinEye.

Marshfield Firm of the Year

On Thursday, Oct. 21, I attended the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry's annual Firm of the Year dinner.  I presented a plaque honoring Nelson-Jameson signed by and Senators Bernier and Petrowski as well as Representative Spiros and myself on behalf of the Wisconsin State Assembly.  Nelson-Jameson has been a trusted supplier of food and dairy supplies in Marshfield for over 70 years and it has been family owned for four generations.  Starting with five employees and local distribution, Nelson-Jameson currently serves all 50 states with 212 employees in six nation-wide facilities.  As they have grown over the years, Nelson-Jameson has never lost touch with their roots by continuing to place a premium on customer relationships.  With exceptional customer service and dedication to their business, this recognition is well deserved.

Honoring Right to Life Month

On Wednesday, the Assembly took up a Senate Resolution during floor session to proclaim October 2021 as Right to Life month in Wisconsin.  I am pleased to report the Assembly concurred in SJR 71, of which I am a co-sponsor, after the Senate passed the resolution earlier this week.  The right to life for the unborn is an issue that is very personal to me and I am proud to stand up for the most vulnerable among us.  Additionally, the Assembly passed several pro-life bills during the same session.  Here is a listing of those bills:

Recognizing Ovarian Cancer Awareness

On Tuesday, the Assembly passed AJR 75, relating to: designating September 2021 and 2022 as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.  I was proud to be the second author on this resolution to raise awareness regarding this tragic diagnosis.
