Madison – Rep. Rob Summerfield (R-Bloomer) was sworn in for his third term in the State Assembly earlier today.

“Thank you to everyone who has put their faith and trust in me for another two years,” Rep. Summerfield said. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue being a strong voice for Northwestern Wisconsin down in Madison.”

Rep. Summerfield was recently named Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Science, Technology and Broadband and Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Committee on Health. He will also serve on the Colleges & Universities, Rural Development, Small Business Development, State Affairs, Tourism, and Veterans & Military Affairs committees as well.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us, including strengthening our Wisconsin economy, expanding rural broadband services, and being good stewards of our taxpayer dollars,” Rep. Summerfield concluded. “I am optimistic about the upcoming session and will continue to advocate for the people of the 67th Assembly District.”

The 67th Assembly District includes portions of Dunn and Chippewa counties.
