Rep. Summerfield to Work for Jobs & Economy
Small business owner becomes the new state representative in the Chippewa Valley
Madison…Rep. Rob Summerfield (R-Bloomer) officially begins his work to improve the economy and grow jobs as he takes office as the new state representative in the 67th Assembly District.
“I look forward to serving my constituents with great passion and hard work to make sure the district is well represented on the issues in Madison,” said Rep. Summerfield. “It’s my job to ensure our area is not forgotten and that our voices are heard loud and clear.”
As a small business owner, Rep. Summerfield is eager to address the needs of our state including expanding broadband, improving education and finding a long-term solution for funding our roads and bridges.
“In dealing with state finances, I think it’s important that we are mindful of how every tax dollar is spent,” said Rep. Summerfield. “It’s also essential that our decisions reflect the desires of the district and I will look to get my constituents input on their budget priorities.”
Rep. Summerfield will serve on the Colleges & Universities, Small Business Development, State Affairs, Tourism, and Veterans & Military Affairs committees.
Joining Summerfield during the inaugural ceremony was his wife Kim and their three daughters as well as a large contingent of relatives from the district and around Wisconsin.
