About Robert
Robert “Bob” Wittke is a long time resident of the area he represents in the State Assembly. He graduated from William Horlick High School, and went on to attend the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire where he earned a BA degree in Accounting. He is a finance and accounting professional for over 35 years, working in all aspects of corporate taxation.
Bob’s political journey began in 2017 when he was elected to the Racine Unified School District Board of Education, where he served two terms as Board President. In 2018, he transitioned to the State Assembly, successfully winning a seat in the 62nd District. Following redistricting in 2025, he now represents the 63rd District, which encompasses the City of Franklin (Milwaukee County) and the Villages of Caledonia and Raymond (Racine County).
Throughout his time in Madison, Bob has been an active and engaged legislator, focusing on education, fiscal responsibility, and community growth. He served for six years on the Assembly Committee on Education and the Committee on Colleges and Universities. Since 2021, Bob has been a member of the State Building Commission, and in 2023, he became the Assembly co-chair of the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Audit. He continues to serve in both roles during the 2025-2026 session. Additionally, Bob serves on the Assembly Committees on Financial Institutions and State Affairs.
Bob is the proud father of four children. He and his wife Alison raised their two younger children in Wind Point where they attended Racine Unified Schools. His children are all graduates of, or currently attending, University of Wisconsin System schools.
Bob is deeply committed to the success of his community, he works to help ensure that the 63rd Assembly District continues to thrive with small businesses, local employment opportunities, and safe effective schools.
