Welcome to my e-update

Thank you for taking the time to read this week's e-update. I always strive to include information you find interesting and informative as it relates to my work in Madison and the 60th Assembly District.

My most important goal remains serving you, my constituents. Helping you find solutions to difficult problems when it seems like the state is unresponsive is the single greatest reward for my staff and me. I take constituents' input seriously and continually work hard on your behalf.

I always have your thoughts and concerns in mind when deciding whether or not to support legislation. Furthermore, I appreciate when you take time out of your schedules to contact me.

Have a great week,

This week's survey

The issue of mandatory vaccinations has generated copious media attention in recent months and been the subject of vigorous debate in legislative bodies throughout the country. Supporters of mandatory vaccinations posit that diseases once-thought to be eradicated have returned due to the increasing number of individuals devoid of vaccines. Furthermore, they surmise that unvaccinated individuals pose a public health risk and danger to society.

On the contrary, those opposed to vaccinations surmise that it is their constitutional right to make health decisions unfettered from government interference. They believe the government should not dictate whether or not the individuals vaccinate themselves or their child. Moreover, they submit that vaccines affect individuals differently and in some instances, cause more harm than good.

Governor Evers recently expressed his support for eliminating the personal and religious exemption for vaccinations. If passed, it would require all Wisconsinites, except those with legitimate health concerns--to be vaccinated.

I am very interested in your feedback on this issue, especially your thoughts on Governor Evers' support for eliminating the religious and personal exemption; a blatant disregard for personal freedom, individual liberty, core tenets of our republic.

Please, take just a minute to answer my one-question survey on mandatory vaccinations and Governor Evers' proposed elimination of the religious and personal exemption.

Survey Results

Thank you to everyone who provided input on school district referendums and state shared revenue. In total, 89 individuals respondent to this week's survey question.

Sixty-five percent of respondents believe referendums for school expansion and capital improvement should be exempt from state shared revenue and paid for by the school district that passed the referendum.

Conversely, twenty-nine percent of respondents are opposed to exempting school district referendums from state shared revenue.
