Legislative Citations

As a state legislator, I am afforded the privilege of working alongside my colleagues in the Assembly and Senate to formally recognize constituents on their exceptional achievements. One way in which we honor those who have made a positive impact on our communities is through the presentation of an official legislative citation. Typically, the offices of an individual’s state representative and state senator will collaborate to draft the citation, which is then printed, signed and placed on a wooden plaque before being delivered to the esteemed recipient at the ceremony or event where he or she is being recognized for the achievement. Events where legislative citations are frequently presented are Eagle Scout Courts of Honor, “Business of the Year” ceremonies and retirement celebrations for public servants, just to name a few examples. If you are interested in requesting a citation for a particular individual, group or organization, please reach out to my office and provide the following information:

  • The full name of the person being recognized
  • The contact person and the phone number and email where he or she can be reached
  • The commendation event and the location and date of the event
  • Background information on the recipient and details outlining the achievement that is being recognized. This is typically comprised of academic and/or professional achievements, extracurricular activities, community service, volunteer work, involvement with local civic organizations, etc.

Citation requests can be emailed to Rep.Gundrum@legis.wisconsin.gov or mailed to the following address:
