About Representative Lee Snodgrass

Meet Lee

Rep. Snodgrass signing the Wisconsin Assembly Book!

Lee is a native Philadelphian whose father’s career in the paper industry brought her to Wisconsin at the age of 10. She grew up in Green Bay, the daughter of a paper mill engineer and a registered nurse. Lee attended the University of Wisconsin Madison where she obtained a degree in English Literature. Lee went on to build a successful career in communications, marketing and public relations in the private sector, public sector, and non-profit sector. Prior to her election she was employed as the Director of Communications for the Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, a council serving girls and volunteers in 56 of Wisconsin’s counties.

Lee has called Appleton home since 1996 and it is where she raised her family. She is the proud mother of two young adults. Her daughter, Nora lives in the Twin Cities and her son, Henry lives in Chicago.

Lee has a passion for connecting people and finding solutions to help make life more equitable, joyful and successful for those in her community. She is a longtime volunteer and vocal advocate on issues from female empowerment, the environment, LGBTQ + rights, and basic needs. When not in Madison or in-district working on behalf of the people of Wisconsin, Lee can be found exploring Wisconsin’s bicycling trails and natural spaces.
