Working for you!

Helping Our Farmers Thrive

I grew up on a farm and loved working with dairy farmers for years in the agriculture business. Farming is at the core of Wisconsin values and economics, which means we need to do our best at the State Capitol to help farmers across Wisconsin thrive. In the legislature, we’re going beyond what the governor has proposed by advancing bills that will implement tax credits and expand exports. By offering both short-term and long-term relief to farmers, we’ll preserve the tradition of Wisconsin farming long into the future.

When Bureaucracy Threatens Pharmacy Access

Last week, the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin raised a concern with me that, as currently written, bureaucratic administrative rules are threatening the closure of drug dispensaries across Wisconsin. An interpretation of these rules has already caused the federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to stop issuing DEA numbers to new Wisconsin remote dispensing sites. These critical sites operated by hospitals and clinics are critical to providing patients, especially in rural communities, with the drugs they need.

I acted swiftly to introduce the bill to fix this problem with a bipartisan coalition of legislators. The Assembly Committee on Health held a hearing on the bill on Wednesday. You can watch my testimony on the bill here.

Capitol Visitors

On Wednesday, realtors from across Northeast Wisconsin visited us in the Assembly parlor for realtor & Government Day.

On Tuesday, constituents with the Outagamie County Farm Bureau visited the office for Ag Day at the Capitol.

On Tuesday, I had the opportunity to chat with Outagamie County Board Supervisor Dan Gabrielson, who serves on the County Health & Human Services Committee
