Beginning with
Bipartisanship |
Wisconsin has a long history of avoiding
the partisanship that brings Washington, D.C. to a halt. My
Republican colleagues and I are committed to maintaining this
proud tradition of cooperation to get things done for the people
of our entire state. That’s why we began the 2019-20 session by
sending our new governor a letter outlining issues we believe we
can find common ground on.
Here are the issues we want to advance with
the governor:
- Pre-existing condition coverage guarantee
- Income tax reductions
- Enhancing high speed internet access
- Support for K-12 education
- Expanding SeniorCare to cover flu shots
- Preventing homelessness
- Addressing the debt level in our transportation fund
- Childcare affordability
- Clean water
- Investments in infrastructure
- Attracting qualified employees to Wisconsin

full letter here.

Inauguration Day |
Observing the Assembly inauguration ceremony with my
four year old grandson Edmond. It's a privilege for
representatives to have close family members join them on the
floor for this occasion. I took the oath of office on Monday and
began my fourth term as a member of the Wisconsin State
Legislature. I’m honored and humbled that the citizens of the
56th district have elected me to again be their voice in the
State Capitol. My top priorities include coverage of
pre-existing conditions in health care coverage, achievement in
K-12 and higher education schools, and increased growth in our
economy.

Transportation Added to My
Committees |
I'm honored to have been reappointed as
chair of the Assembly Committee on Colleges and Universities. I
have also been reappointed to the committees on campaigns and
elections, financial institutions, health, housing and real
estate, and workforce development.
I also requested, and was granted, a seat
on the Assembly Committee on Transportation. I’m looking forward
to using this new position to better address the critical road
infrastructure needs of our community.
Committees of the legislature offer the
most direct route for constituents to weigh in on bills and
issues as they work their way through the government. Keep an
eye on future e-updates for regular news on my committee
activities.
