Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, Inc.
and Schneider CDL Driver Hiring Event |
This week, Schneider invited me to Fox Valley Technical College to learn about their training programs and upcoming
job event on May 10th. They are working together to
offer a 5 week Commercial Drivers License (CDL) training course.
New training programs start weekly, and the job placement rate
is excellent. These trucking jobs can pay over $60,000! If you
or someone you know is interested in getting the skills for a
great paying job in driving, go to the CDL Driver Hiring Event
on May 10th. You can call to pre-register. I appreciate these organizations in our community coming
together to address the need for truck drivers in this high
demand field. What a great opportunity!

Red Tape Review Bill Signing |
The Assembly's Red Tape Review initiative is an effort to go
through the thousands of pages of administrative code to clean
up outdated and obsolete code to reduce the burdensome red tape
for our citizens. To date, 27% of the code has been reviewed.
The Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee, that I chair,
combed through the Administrative Code for the Wisconsin
Technical College System Board and the University of Wisconsin
System. These efforts resulted in two bills,
AB 848 and
AB 842, being signed into law to reduce the red tape
for our higher education institutions.
