Welcome to my first May e-update!
Weeks of May 2nd and 9th

These past two weeks have been busy! Here is a brief legislative update on what we have been working on in the capitol:

  1. I was proud to vote in favor of a suicide prevention bill which I co-authored in committee last week. You can read more about that piece of legislation here.
  2. I also had the privilege to vote in favor of an important election integrity bill. No matter what side of the aisle you land on, it was an important step towards ensuring fair distribution of election funds from outside groups.
  3. Lastly, the Assembly adopted my resolution recognizing the first week of May as Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week. I know many folks that struggle with this illness, so I was pleased to have bi-partisan support on this issue.

I also had the privilege of joining meetings with architects from around the state, breast cancer survivors, and two groups of folks regarding how we can make healthcare and prescription drugs more affordable in Wisconsin!

Listening Session

This Friday (5/14), we are having a virtual listening session for folks who weren't able to make it to the first two! If you are wanting to share your thoughts on what should be included in the 2021-23 biennial budget, RSVP here to receive the link!

This session, I am serving on the following committees. Click on the links to view committee activity!

Regulatory Licensing Reform

I'm looking forward to continuing my work on each of these with many of my colleagues.
