Welcome to my first July E-Update!
Weeks of June 27th and July 4th
Thank you to Neenah Police Department for bringing me on a ride along!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Fourth of July weekend! These past two weeks have been busy. Here is a brief legislative update on what we have been working on:
  1. The 2021-23 state budget was passed in the legislature with bi-partisan support in both houses. As of Thursday, the governor has signed it into law & the legislature's income tax cuts have been enacted!
  2. I had the privilege to testify on two more bi-partisan bills I am an author on to provide more access to our state parks for folks all over Wisconsin. Click on the links to read more about Assembly Bills 269 and 375!
  3. I also was proud to vote in favor of getting rid of the personal property tax in the State of Wisconsin. Unfortunately, this bill was vetoed by the governor, but we will continue to push for the removal of this burdensome tax that disproportionately impacts small businesses.

I also had the privilege of joining meetings with the Neenah Police Department, the American Lung Association, township leaders across Winnebago County, and chat with several constituents that turned in their budget surveys to hear more about their concerns!
