Welcome to my second September E-Update!

Weeks of September 24th and 30th

Charlie Fredrickson of Faith Tech and Rep. Cabral-Guevara discussing energy related policies!
The day has arrived! The Legislature is back in session, here is a brief legislative update on what we have been working on:
  1. Earlier this week, I was able to meet with a number of persons from our area to discuss how to increase the affordability and competition as it relates to utilities and energy. I should be introducing this piece of legislation within the coming weeks.
  2. Additionally, my Referendum bill, which mandates fiscal costs and interest rates be communicated on the ballot, as part of the referendum, will be going through a public hearing on Wednesday, October 6th. This piece of legislation is important, as it reinforces transparency, and allows Wisconsin's voters to make a more informed decision as it relates to their respective communities.
  3. I had the opportunity to continue my work in the area of mental health, more specifically as it relates to ensuring that our law enforcement officers have proper and effective resources to cope with work-related trauma. While I met with local advocates this previous week, I am certain this piece of legislation will be moving forward very soon.
