Welcome to my second August E-Update!
Weeks of August 21st and 28th
Thank you to Executive Director Amy Moorefield and the terrific staff at the Bergstrom*Mahler Museum of Glass for the tour!
Even as the State Legislature has yet to reconvene at the end of September, we are hard at work to improve the lives of Wisconsin residents. Here is a brief legislative update on what we have been working on:
  1. I am working to ensure that Women have more affordable access for essential Breast screenings. Read more here!
  2. Additionally, I have been focusing on Women's health as it relates to privacy through consent with pelvic examinations. Read more here.
  3. I've also been proud to continue my work to make referendum's on the ballot more transparent, requiring fiscal estimates to be plainly explained and detailed for the Wisconsin voter. If interested, go here to read specifically what this piece of legislation will require.

On Tuesday, August 31st, I had the pleasure of visiting the Appleton DOJ Field Office to discuss how Elder's across the State are being subjected to scams at an unprecedented level. I believe that everyone has the right to financial freedom and to be safeguarded from those who prey one our most vulnerable loved ones.

It is with great expectation that you will continue to receive updates regarding this most precious matter.

As Wisconsin families, children, and educational staff make their return back to school for the 2021-2022 school year, I wish nothing but the best.

If at any point, there are concerns with school operations, please utilize our office as a resource of assistance. I'm rooting for you!
