Welcome to my first October E-Update!

Weeks of October 8th and 15th

Bill Cosh and Will Terry, Sen. Jacque and Rep. Cabral-Guevara's assistants, testifying on their behalf, in support of AB475 on Wednesday, October 6th.
Here is a brief legislative update on what we have been working on, over the course of the past couple of weeks:
  1. My bill, AB475 went through a public hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 6th. This piece of legislation is imperative when holding local and state officials accountable, that all costs are included in the referendum and communicated on the ballot. Read more here!
  2. I had the continued honor of working for healthcare reform, and ensuring that proper provisions are outlined in state law. On Tuesday, Oct. 12th, I testified before the Senate Committee on Health, in support of my bill- AB416. This bill extends breast cancer screenings, provided by the Medical Assistance program and health insurance policies. Read me here.
  3. Throughout the past few weeks I have had meetings with the Hospital and Nursing associations in order to properly cut red tape, that will in turn make it more feasible to open nursing homes, and have the appropriate amount of beds.

Ted Nugent during the Assembly News Conference, this previous Wednesday, speaking on the importance of the WI Sporting Freedom package of bills. The legislative package of bills is imperative to continue our long standing hunting and trapping traditions. It was an honor to meet and listen to what he had to say!

This previous Wednesday, I had the opportunity to learn how EnTech, Renew and other private companies are bringing renewable energy sources to homes and businesses across the state.
